Beautiful imperfection

How many of us are proud to strut our stuff imperfections on full display?

How many would dare stand tall and real, unbowed by their follies but yielded to His grace to outgrow them?

How many truly believe that His strength can and is made perfect in their weakness.

Can you admit your frailties and blushes? It seems God's path to growth passes through a ticket of human resistance. The good book says if I profess wholeness, then am a liar BUT if I admit my sinfulness, He forgives me and makes me whole.

Hmm, so am I to relish and flaunt my rascality or is it a call to something deeper?

I took this picture @ lake nakuru in kenya, and I wonder........

If this deer had been a man /woman, would it have been bold enough to flaunt this broken horn? Or would it have defined it and forced it into a lifetime of self delusion and denial?

True religion

Lately a frustration has been slowly brewing deep within me. Borne out of a weariness with playing church, sounding right, looking right, yet hiding behind a mask.

I desire a brotherhood of openness, founded on God's word, guided by a love for all that is right and good.

It seems when the good book refers to our love waxing cold, what it meant is that place where the divine becomes bottled! Canned in hum a platitudes devoid of it's life refining potency.

I am weary!
